2. Nature of the Platform
Law Indian is a lawyer directory and discovery platform. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services of any kind. We do not endorse any specific lawyer listed on the platform.
Any legal advice, representation, or assistance you receive is directly from the individual advocate, not from Law Indian. Any engagement with an advocate is solely between you and that advocate.

- Advocates must be registered with a State Bar Council or the Bar Council of India to apply for listing.
- By using the platform, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
4. User Obligations
As a user of the platform, you agree to:
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes and not to harass, defame, or harm any advocate or other user.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform in bulk.
- Not post false reviews or misrepresent your identity.
- Not use the platform to solicit advocates for purposes unrelated to legal services.
- Respect the time and professional dignity of advocates when making contact.
5. Advocate Listing Terms
By submitting an application to be listed on Law Indian, advocates agree that:
- All credentials, enrolment numbers, and professional information submitted are accurate and verifiable.
- The profile and contact information may be displayed publicly on the platform.
- Law Indian reserves the right to verify credentials with the relevant Bar Council and to reject or remove any listing that does not meet our verification standards.
- The listing does not constitute a solicitation of clients in violation of Bar Council of India rules on advertising (Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India Rules, as amended).
- Advocates may request removal of their profile at any time by contacting us.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the platform — including text, graphics, logos, design elements, and software — is the property of Law Indian or its licensors and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Advocate-submitted content (biography, profile details) remains the intellectual property of the advocate. By submitting, you grant Law Indian a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Law Indian shall not be liable for:
- The quality, accuracy, or outcome of legal services provided by any listed advocate.
- Any loss or damage resulting from a user's reliance on information displayed on the platform.
- Interruptions, errors, or technical failures of the platform.
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data, beyond what is attributable to our negligence.
Our total aggregate liability, if any, shall not exceed ₹10,000 (ten thousand rupees) or the amount paid by you for any paid service, whichever is lower.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Law Indian, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the platform.
9. Third-Party Links
The platform may contain links to external websites or resources (e.g., Bar Council websites, court portals). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of these third-party sites.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any user account or lawyer profile, with or without notice, if we determine (at our sole discretion) that these Terms have been violated or that the listing poses a risk to users or the integrity of the platform.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India. Before initiating litigation, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days.
12. Amendments
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
13. Contact
